Prayer

We all know the benefits of prayer and the central importance of it to the Christian faith, but most of us will struggle with praying, whether it is finding time or finding ways that make it feel a genuine place of connection with God.

With this in mind we want to exercise our prayer muscle more so that praying becomes a natural part of our daily routine. We will gather on the first Monday of each month, starting on Monday 2nd September, at 7.45pm to learn about different forms of prayer and try them out for ourselves. Our first session will look at "why we pray" and there will be various resources in different areas of the church to engage us more deeply in prayer. Wherever you are on your prayer journey, do come and give it a try.

Prayer Requests

We believe God can do amazing things through prayer, so we have created a Prayer Chain: an opportunity for your prayer needs to be heard and actively prayed for by a group of committed individuals. If you have prayer needs at any time you can communicate them, in as much or as little detail as you wish, via email at: prayer@smem.org.uk. Your prayer requests will remain entirely confidential to the Prayer Chain team.

Anyone who would like to be part of the group responding in prayer to these requests, please get in touch with Katharine Frost via church.office@smem.org.uk.
